In Grand Rapids, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across Michigan do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.

Grand Rapids is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Grand Rapids follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Wow!! Old School Italian, Testa Rossa Pizzeria hit the mark! Our party of 7 had the most lovely dinner experience in the nostalgic back section. Our waitress, Mina, provided excellent service that was matched by the outstanding dinner entrees and inventive cocktail drink selections. Thank you, Testa Rossa - we highly recommend and will be coming again!

Okay, this is the second time I have come here. I really loved the first time. I came with family, I think we all ordered pizza and got drinks and everything was charming and wonderful. Life music was on point too. This second time I was a little disappointed. The food was not great. The Shrimp Scampi and The Gondola weren’t amazing. The shrimp was kinda rubbery, the pasta was swimming in so much liquid and it wasn’t seasoned very well. It was supposed to be a little spicy and it was not at all. The Gandola was not worth it- bit of a gimmick- and I kinda new that but needed to make a game time decision so decided to give it a shot. The didn’t have any normal meatballs, just vegan ones and that was fine. The pasta tasted like it was made with store brand pasta sauce and the quality you’d expect from a public school lunch cafeteria. The bread boat was also soggy as one could guess when you think about pasta being loaded on top(and who wants that, just an example where the idea doesn’t live up to the execution). It was also burnt and charred too, which seemed like they were trying to get away with it by having the pasta on top of it so you couldn’t see it at first. The whole thing tas

We went for date night last night and fell in love with this spot - we will definitely be frequent flyers here! Our server, Emily, was absolutely wonderful and our meal was incredible. The vodka rigatoni burrata pasta was actually the best meal we’ve had in Grand Rapids. Would recommend!

I went here with a friend one nice evening in the early summer. The place is surprisingly big inside, and there’s a patio in the back. We sat on the patio since the weather was nice. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the menu had lots of options at prices that weren’t too bad. I decided to go with a Caesar salad and the earthenware pasta, a vegetarian dish made with mafaldine pasta and vegetables. Although the pasta wasn’t something I’d normally order, I enjoyed it quite a bit. The veggies tasted very fresh and brought a lot of flavor to the dish. The salad was also pretty nice. I’d definitely eat here again in the future.

Happened in on this place after having been next door several times, only a couple tables while we were there but it looks like they do shows and have a lot of space for seating. Bathrooms were nice. The server came quick, she was friendly and knowledgable when we asked questions. Had the testa rosa and margarita pizzas, shrimp scampi and made a custom pasta. We had the fried cheese for an appetizer. All of our food was delicious, cooked well and flavorful. We will be back.
